Open Access, Copyright and Licensing Policy
Open Access
The International Journal of Engineering Research and Sustainable Technologies (IJERST) provides immediate open access to its published scholarly articles. Readers may access the full text without subscription, payment, registration or an embargo period.
The journal supports the dissemination of research for the benefit of the academic community and the public.
Copyright
Authors retain copyright in their articles, unless a different arrangement is expressly agreed in writing and accurately disclosed to authors before publication.
By publishing with IJERST, authors grant the journal the non-exclusive rights necessary to publish, distribute, identify and preserve the version of record, subject to the applicable publication agreement.
Creative Commons Licence
Research articles published under this policy are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International licence (CC BY 4.0), where that licence is indicated on the article.
The licence permits others to share and adapt the material for any purpose, including commercial purposes, provided the required attribution, licence link and indication of changes are supplied.
The licence does not remove the obligation to respect third-party rights or applicable legal exceptions. Material excluded from the article's licence must be clearly identified.
Author Responsibilities
Authors are responsible for obtaining permission to reproduce third-party material where permission is required. They must identify any material that is not covered by the article's Creative Commons licence.
The licence applicable to each article will be stated on its landing page and, where practicable, in the full-text PDF and associated metadata.
Permanent Availability
The journal aims to preserve published articles as part of the scholarly record. Access to published articles will remain open in accordance with the journal's open-access policy.
Repository Policy
Authors are permitted to deposit the published version of their articles in institutional repositories or other repositories of their choice. Articles may be shared immediately upon publication under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) licence, subject to the terms of that licence. Authors are encouraged to include the original article citation and a link to the published version on the journal website.
